Kappa Lambda Chapter of Alpha Omircon Pi

At Alpha Omicron Pi, we strive to Inspire Ambition in our sisters, our university, and our community through volunteering, academic growth, and leadership opportunities. The object of our Fraternity inspires us to stand at all times for character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty. Our four founders established Alpha Omicron Pi in 1897 at Barnard College of Columbia University in New York, New York.

Since 1897, we have diversified to include 302 collegiate and alumnae chapters over 58 states and provinces, across Canada and the United States. We total with over 191 000 sisters! The Kappa Lambda chapter here at the University of Calgary was established in 1985 by eleven brave, determined and motivated women.

Kappa Lambda offers a home for four life-changing years. You'll also find a lifetime of opportunity, support and love. Our collegiate chapters take pride in our philanthropy, drive and initiative, with the backing of our perseverant alumnae chapters. Internationally we help sisters with disaster relief funds, scholarships, annual international conferences, networking with alumnae, and a sisterhood that supports you throughout your lifetime. Alpha Omicron Pi is a mosaic of individuals that are unique, yet all strive to live by the same ideals of Inspiring Ambition; empowering women, and loving our fraternity and sisters.
