Guided by the Alpha Gamma Delta Purpose, we strive to possess high ideals through academic excellence, community involvement, leadership development, and a strong sisterhood. In 1904, Alpha Gamma Delta was founded by 11 women attending Syracuse University in New York and since then, our organization has blossomed into an international sisterhood of over 189,000 members. Together, we continually work to inspire the woman and impact the world.

The Delta Nu Chapter at the University of Calgary was the first woman’s fraternity to be installed on campus in 1983. Our collegiate and alumna members are some of the most well-rounded women in the community. Scholarships, leadership development, conferences, philanthropic activities, networking with alumnae, and friendships that will last you a lifetime are just some of the many opportunities you can have to make the most of your university experience and beyond.

Alpha Gamma Delta is a loving, leading, and lasting international women’s fraternity dedicated to academic excellence, high ideals, and sisterhood. Our mascot is the Squirrel, our gem is the pearl, our flower is a red and buff rose with green asparagus plumosa fern, and our colours are red, buff and green. Our philanthropic cause is fighting hunger because it affects millions of people all around the world. These aspects of our sisterhood are truly what bring us together, and motivate one another to become the best version of ourselves and as a sisterhood.
